Do you know your rights?
Lessees can now take charge under the “No Fault” Right to Manage provision introduced by the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002.
Why should lessees set up a Right To Manage company?
Are your service charge levels too high? Are you being charged unreasonable amounts for items such as buildings insurance? Does your Landlord or you Managing Agent provide a poor service? Would you like to take back control over your building and your service charge fund?
To exercise the Right to Manage, there is no obligation to prove fault on the part of the Freeholder or Managing Agent. Exercising your Right to Manage does not necessarily mean you have to manage your building yourself, you can appoint a professional managing agent that YOU choose!
